the fear.

Although I have millions of anxieties, I have very few fears that I would consider irrational.  There is a common misunderstanding that the two terms represent the same meaning, however that is not the case.  Anxieties refer to unpleasant feelings that occur as a response to an uncomfortable situation that may promote the possibility of something bad happening, whereas fear occurs as a result of actually being faced with a threat or dangerous situation.

So below is a list of my fears.

Achluophobia - fear of darkness.

Acrophobia - fear of heights.

Agliophobia - fear of pain.

Agoraphobia - fear of leaving a safe place.

Arachnophobia - fear of spiders.

Astraphobia - fear of thunder and lightning.

Atychiphobia - fear of failure.

Catagelophobia - fear of being ridiculed.

Claustrophobia - fear of confined spaces.

Didaskaleinophobia - fear of going to school.

Disposophobia- Fear of throwing stuff out.

Dystychiphobia- Fear of accidents.

Gerascophobia- Fear of growing old.

Lockiophobia- Fear of childbirth.

Necrophobia- Fear of death.

Ophidiophobia- Fear of snakes.

Phasmophobia- Fear of ghosts.

Trypanophobia- Fear of injections.
